I’d an excellent knowledge about National noleggio auto Italia as soon as Romeo has picked me up within the shuttle in the airport four days later. I had been greeted in the agency with a very polite & helpful man named Edward who took me inside and from there within Ten minutes. Also it took very long because I have forgotten my confirmation number & Edward was so patient and allow me to use his computer to check my email to have it. Edward took me towards the garage of cars I possibly could select from. The vehicle I picked had No problem by using it.

It had been very clean, completely new and good on gas. After I returned the vehicle Romeo was waiting for taking me to the airport together with his good personality & helping me by carrying my luggage. I really hope everyone might have the truly amazing experience which I did. Mostly all of the workers are so friendly & helping natured. They keep up with the vehicles perfectly. Plus they never collect any extra charges in the counters. The agents within the counter are very quickly working to ensure that you don’t have to hold back within the queue.

I needed to talk about my first experience because while searching for an automobile rental service everyone decided to be good, you get a much more negative than reviews that are positive for just about any of these. I took my own chance with National. Then we flew into North park International at 10′o clock and also the worse thing about this experience was just that people needed to watch three other company shuttles appear and disappear before our shuttle lastly turned up.

But after we got aboard, everything went very smooth. I booked online, so I was out and in fairly quick. We hired a full-size vehicle, and selected the Dodge Charger from many choices. It had been both neat & well-maintained. It was simple and easy, we instantly were loaded to the shuttle and on Manchester international. No trouble with any fuss. I’ll use National car rental again & suggest them highly. It will help you more to explore the city.

Thrifty location voiture guadeloupe associated with Thrifty Automotive Company, is among the largest rental car companies on the earth using more than thousand spots in 70 nations. This really is no genuine surprise looking into their well-maintained rental car services using its throng of benefits. Actually, there services are usually so remarkable that it’s our selections for location voiture pas cher service site.

Kinds of Renting

Thrifty comes with a sizable choice of vehicles, it has many features. The huge vehicles can be found, that could be used as an alternative for more compact work.
Typically, Toyota Prius as well as Chrysler "bio-fuel" cars can be found which "are an issue since the retail interest in hybrids are really higher amongst customers," With respect to Thrifty, they aspire to improve their hybrid fast later on to ensure they are more open to their clients. Therefore, most clients won’t be in a position to lease one in the near future.
When hybrid cars are difficult to find, fuel effective cars aren’t. The company promises that 75% of the fleet may get 26 kilometers-per-gallon or even much better. This denotes more income in your wallet and less utilization of natural sources.

Functions

When Thrifty is actually lack-luster with regards to automobile choice, it excels with regards to functions. Actually, it’s much more functions than every other rental car solutions.
When you select your vehicle, you are able to fill the booking with useful, time-saving additional, for example toddler car seats, Navigation and also pre-pay cost choices.
This kind of rental car assistance features a number of business packages to suit an array of wants, such as small company leasing, regular tourist rental, multi-month deals and much more. Amusement as well as manufacturing businesses and government divisions have their very own leasing package deal options.

Aid & Service

For instance, Thrifty’s Finest Charge Warranty protects that you’ll always obtain a car rental. If you discover a much better price on the leasing, customer support may match the cost & remove the extra 10%.
And also a good charge, you may also get an insurance coverage package deal or even road-side support package deal on-site, in contrast to some other rental companies which make waiting before you arrive at the leasing counter.

So if you are about to start a tour in Europe, this is the right place to start your research.Be sure that you have enough time to visit the big variety of blending culture from France.
France is a very popular destination especially for americans. The French Alps offer many sport activities also during winter but also during summer. During winter you can do snowboarding, skiing and during winter you can walk, or go with the bike. Rafting and other extreme sports are available.
If you are more into classic tourism you should go into Britany region, plenty of classic french attraction are waiting for you here. Fancy restaurants, good wine, sunny beaches everything is there on Brittany peninsula.
Another also more classic french region is the Languedoc. Here you will be stunned about the old architecture, castles, and off course about the cousine.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Until last month, my perception of cruise-ship travel was largely formed by watching the 1972 hit film The Poseidon Adventure. And this assignment had “disaster movie” written all over it: Ride aboard the maiden passenger voyage of the world’s largest cruise ship with other journalists, travel professionals and their families.

I even spotted actress Katie Holmes. (At least it wasn’t Shelley Winters or Ernest Borgnine.)

But this big, big ship, the Allure of the Seas, was about to change my perception in a big, big way.

Royal Caribbean International’s Allure is, indeed, the largest cruise ship in the world, nosing out sister ship Oasis of the Seas in length by 5 centimeters – about 2inches. I took a quick, two-night, out-and-back shakedown cruise. The itinerary will normally be seven days, alternating between a western Caribbean and eastern Caribbean cruise from Fort Lauderdale.

The statistics are staggering: The 1,187-foot-long Allure towers 213 feet above the waterline and cost more than $1 billion to build. The ship has 16 decks and room for more than 5,400 guests plus a crew of more than 2,000 – kind of like putting the entire town of Grandview Heights out to sea (not that I’m in any way commenting on the wisdom of that idea).

The ship has 2,700 staterooms with 37 different types of accommodations, from gigantic luxury loft suites to 160-square-foot interior staterooms. My ocean-view stateroom was a cozy 180-square-feet but seemed larger because of good design and an oceanfront balcony big enough for seating two comfortably.

But numbers alone don’t tell he tale. What about the amenities?

FlowRider surfing machine? Check.

Zip line? Check.

Ice rink? Oh, yeah.

Hit Broadway musical. Of course.

3-D movie theater? One of those, too.

The topper for me, however – the thing that made me actually stop in my tracks, sit on a bench and re-evaluate my complete belief system – was my first sight of Allure’s carousel.

Yes, I did say carousel, a full-size beauty made by the Carousel Works in Mansfield and located on the ship’s Boardwalk, one of seven huge, themed public areas including the Royal Promenade, which resembles a high-end indoor mall with shops such as Coach and the world’s first floating Starbucks; and Central Park, an open-air walk filled with plants such as calla lilies, birds of paradise, orchids and full-size olive trees, and featuring five-story high “green walls” covered with flowering vines.

The dining options are just as varied as the themed areas. Guests can eat in the traditional main dining room, Adagio, or opt for one of 20 other onboard restaurants, from steakhouse to Asian to pizzeria to hot dog stand to branded eateries such as Johnny Rockets. One of my favorites was the Samba Grill, a Brazilian-style churrascaria steakhouse where the waiters brought about 57 varieties of succulent meat (I actually lost count at six) to the table for carving and serving. The young dancer who performed around the tables, clad in a glittering, if scanty, traditional costume, didn’t detract from the experience.

(Food at some of the specialty restaurants is included in the price of the cruise. At others, the meals are extra.

The ship also has a dozen different bars and lounges, including the Rising Tide Bar that seems to float between decks 5 and 8 above a fountain. Just be sure it’s landed before trying to exit.

Guests will also find 13 retail stores featuring name-brand goodies from Roxy, Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Dior and many more.

And a casino. (I certainly found the casino: The rules of blackjack, alas, are the same all over.)

Calling these big cruise ships “floating resorts” has become cliche – one repeated at an on-board news conference by DreamWorks Studios CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg – but there’s probably no better short description for Allure.

Katzenberg was aboard to tout the collaboration between Royal Caribbean and DreamWorks. In addition to the films and ice shows and other DreamWorks entertainment, passengers will see characters such as Shrek, Kung Fu Panda‘s Po and many others walking around the ship or at a morning parade on the Royal Promenade.

The collaboration appears to be a first-class effort, not just a “me, too” response to Disney Cruise Line. (And throw Winnie the Pooh out of the mix, and my 5-year-old twins probably feel more love for DreamWorks characters such as Shrek than for Mickey and the gang, anyway.)

For me, the biggest surprise – after my jaw-dropping discovery of the carousel – was the quality of the on-board entertainment. I’d always thought of cruise-ship shows as something tending toward the banal and predictable, along the lines of The Tribute to Three Dog Night/Anne Murray Smile-Time Review!

But cruise passengers have become more demanding and more discerning when it comes to entertainment, said Peter Compton, Royal Caribbean’s vice president for entertainment.

“This is not your father’s cruise,” Compton said.

The on-board entertainment is the real deal, “not an imitation of something,” he said.

Those entertainment options include the Broadway musical Chicago (with a full orchestra); a (DreamWorks) How To Tra in Your Dragon Ic e Show; the custom-choreographed OceanAria aquatic show; the latest in 3-D movie projection technology, now showing the current-release DreamWorks cartoon Megamind; plus stand-up comedy; jazz, Latin, dance and calypso combos and other musical groups – and even, it was reliably reported, a ship’s bagpiper, although I never had the pleasure.

(Most of the highly experienced crew has transferred from other Royal Caribbean ships. “Our bagpiper, however, is new to the company,” noted one company executive, dryly.)

The ship has a number of performance venues including the 1,300-seat Amber Theater, the 750-seat AquaTheater amphitheater, the Studio B ice rink and theater and several smaller nightclub-sized spaces.

“The entertainment is world-class,” said Dave Matthews, owner of tour operator Prime Tours in Dublin.

“I saw Chicago on Broadway, and this production was equal to that.”

Matthews sailed on a shakedown cruise just after mine and was highly impressed by the stage shows – and a lot more.

“The size of the ship is all anybody talks about, but they’ve also gone above and beyond on design, decor, amenities – a lot of things that are special compared with any other ship. It seemed like every inch of the ship had beautiful design features.

“And there are just more things to do there than on any other ship.”

The ship and its sister Oasis have already become so iconic that during my visit parts of the Allure were actually being used as a movie set for the upcoming film Jack and Jill – accounting for my Katie Holmes sighting. (Alas, I missed Adam Sandler and Al Pacino.)

Topping it all was the gracious competence and bonhomie radiating from the entire crew, from Capt. Hernan Zini (who looks too young for the job but has 20 years’ experience) to the guy who brought the ice up to my stateroom.

So has the experience aboard Allure turned me into a cruise devotee?

Maybe not. I still like the idea of visiting actual places with a history and a culture (and the not-to-be-discounted option to flee overland, at a moment’s notice, should the need arise).

But now, when I think of cruises, I’ll think of great entertainment, food, shopping and service – and not of Shelley Winters.

Theme party marquee hire and themed props hire is a growing part of the specialist party marquees we supply for hire.

The world’s largest cruise ship has cleared a crucial obstacle, lowering its smokestacks to squeeze under a bridge in Denmark.

The Oasis of the Seas, which rises about 20 storeys high, passed below the Great Belt Fixed Link with a slim margin as it left the Baltic Sea on Saturday on its maiden voyage to Florida.

Bridge operators said that even after lowering its telescopic smokestacks, the giant ship had less than a half-metre gap.

Hundreds of people gathered on beaches at both ends of the bridge to watch the Oasis of the Seas sail by shortly after midnight (1000 AEDT).

“It was fantastic to see it glide under the bridge. Boy, it was big,” said Kurt Hal, 56.

Five times larger than the Titanic, the $US1.5 billion ship has seven neighbourhoods, an ice rink, a small golf course and a 750-seat outdoor amphitheatre. It has 2,700 cabins and can accommodate 6,300 passengers and 2,100 crew members.

Accommodations include loft cabins, with floor-to-ceiling windows, and 1,600-square-foot (487-meter) luxury suites with balconies overlooking the sea or promenades.

The liner also has four swimming pools, volleyball and basketball courts, and a youth zone with theme parks and nurseries for children.

Oasis of the Sea, nearly 40 percent larger than the industry’s next-biggest ship, was conceived years before the economic downturn caused desperate cruise lines to slash prices to fill vacant berths.

It was built by STX Finland for Royal Caribbean International and left the shipyard in Finland on Friday. Officials hadn’t expected any problems in passing the Great Belt bridge, but traffic was stopped for about 15 minutes as a precaution when the ship approached, Danish navy spokesman Joergen Brand said.

Aboard the Oasis of the Seas, project manager Toivo Ilvonen of STX Finland confirmed that the ship had passed under the bridge without any incidents.

“Nothing fell off,” he said.

Once home, the floating extravaganza will have more, if less visible, obstacles to duck: a sagging U.S. economy, questions about the consumer appetite for luxury cruises and criticism that such sailing behemoths are damaging to the environment and diminish the experience of traveling.

It is due to make its U.S. debut on November 20 at its home port, Port Everglades in Florida.

Obviously, our first response would be YES, since that’s what we hope to have you purchase from us. So, why do we think so? Here’s the company line: We think a river cruise is today’s best international vacation value and provides you the most rewarding, most luxurious and most relaxing way to experience some of the most beautiful and storied regions of the world.” Choose from a Rhine, Main or Danube River cruise, a Yangtze or Mekong River cruise, a Nile River Cruise or an Eastern European River cruise.

We understand if you’re not totally sold yet, and need a bit of convincing… We have some very good reasons why river cruises are the best vacation, and we’ve outlined them in this article.
You may have read elsewhere on the site that our Premier team is very experienced and has been fortunate enough to travel the world. We’ve also been on almost every major ocean going cruise ship and many of the river ships we sell. That said, we’re probably much like you, over 50, enjoy travel, enjoy learning as much as we can about a region, its people and their culture rather than struggle through a “if it’s Tuesday it must be Belgium” type vacation. Sure we still want to experience it all, but would prefer to do it with people “like me” who share similar interests, are fun, enjoy exploring and learning, and want a bit of pampering along the way… you know by day you want to interact with the people and places you visit and by night you want a fine Cabernet, a poached fresh salmon with asparagus, and great accommodations for the night – right? Yep.

Maybe you too have been on one of the newer generation of mega-cruise ships, you know the ones we mean, those that you share with 3500-5000 of your “best friends,” the crew never knows your name, you wait in line for almost everything, and it can take up to two hours to disembark the ship, only to wait in yet another line to get on to a crowded shore excursion bus – who enjoys that, no matter how “cool” the ship is.

I also would prefer not to think about the rigors of a traditional bus tour with 50 or so folks, making a stop every two hours for a look at another curio shop, one more church or to allow someone with a pea sized bladder yet another “restroom” break! And, do you really want to spend 13-15 nights in hotels you didn’t choose, packing and unpacking each day of the journey, eating from very selective menus in restaurants you don’t know, and complaining that everything costs too much? I wouldn’t and don’t think you would either.

So why not do what so many experienced travelers are doing? Choose a destination from your personal “bucket list.” Book a river cruise vacation and leave the driving to the ship’s captain. Meander along stunning rivers whose banks and hillsides are lined with medieval castles and vineyards, visit ancient and mystical places along the Nile River, explore the alluring floating markets of the Mekong River as it winds through fascinating Vietnam, or explore China’s incomparable Yangtze River. Today’s luxurious Eastern Europe river cruise ships allow you to experience any of these extraordinary places you’ve yearned to explore – in an up close and personal manner.

We want to welcome you to the incredibly immersive world of river cruising, where there are absolutely NO LINES, you can get on or off the ship in 30 seconds, the crew knows your name, your favorite beverage and provides you with warm, unpretentious ”European style” service. Best of all you travel with 130 or so like-minded folks who are there for the same reasons as you are, to experience a destination and its people in a very personal way, and to scratch off one the places on their “personal bucket lists.”

Today’s modern river cruise ships operated by distinguished companies such as Ama Waterways, Avalon Waterways, Scenic Tours, Uniworld, Tauck and Viking River Cruises. They have all the creature comforts including; gourmet food and complimentary regional wines, spacious and luxurious accommodations, all with a great river view [no inside cabins on river ships], in cabin entertainment including movies and U.S. T.V shows and much more. Your value-packed price also includes most of your guided, English only sightseeing tours and even includes free bicycles and Internet. [Please note that Viking River Cruises does not include complimentary regional wines on all sailings]

Do you still need a bit more convincing? Just think about this… unpack and pack only once, do as much as you want or very little, as you control the pace, exercise off the calories in the gym or relax in a sauna or on some ships, swim in the pool. You’ll also spend much more time seeing the places you visit because river cruise ships usually dock right in the center of town where you are only footsteps away from the local residents, the best sights, and if you choose a great walking streets for you to sit and enjoy a pastry and espresso as the world passes before you. Oh yes, river cruise ships stay later in port and in many cases that allows you to go ashore after dinner to get a different view of the city at night.

Oh yes, one more thing… if you’re like me, I love the fact that they don’t require you to dress up each night while you are on vacation. Leave the tux and the formal wear at home, and at dinnertime dress in relaxed, casual resort attire – it’s your vacation, why not enjoy it!

Are you getting ready to celebrate a Milestone Events such as a special birthday or significant anniversary? If so, there’s no better way to truly “celebrate” than on a value-packed and wonderfully rewarding river cruise. And, there’s no better way to get the most out of the celebration than by bringing a group of family or friends along with you to help celebrate!

At Premier River Cruises, we are the first travel company to recognize the importance of such Milestone Events by providing you and your guests who travel with you special cruise values, on-board acknowledgement of this important event and special gifts. To learn more about how we share in your Milestone Event, please see our Milestone Event section for complete details.
Your decision process can best be concluded by taking a few minutes to read our column entitled, “A day in the life of a river cruise guest.” This short diary-type view let’s you see what a typical day on a river cruise ship is like. Then we suggest you speak with one of our Premier river cruise experts to get you booked on that perfect river cruise, one that will fulfill your personal desires.

Shakespeare’s famous question and response has been uttered for centuries – “What’s in a name?” “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet” – On the river cruise topic, we’d have to mightily disagree as a river cruise by any other name – bus tour, ocean cruise – is simply not the same!

If you have questions, don’t hesitate… call and speak to one of our river cruise experts at 877-777-7273, or drop us an email at info@premierrivercruises.com. We have the answers that will help guide you to the best river cruise line selection, best cruise, and best value!

Huge challenges lie ahead for the Caribbean in tourism, but none will be as big as coping with the two largest cruise ships in the world, one of which will be sailing the Caribbean starting this December.
The cruise ships will be of the Royal Caribbean International line. They are both presently under construction in Finland, a country little known in the Caribbean but whose products are major contributors to the economies of several Caribbean countries.
For example, 14 of the 14 largest cruise ships in the world – in other words all of them – have been built in Finland, a small northern Europe country bounded by Russia, Sweden, Norway and the Baltic Sea.
With a population of 5.3 million people and very little natural resources beyond forestry, Finland has become a modern European nation through its development and application of technological expertise. Building giant cruise ships with all the amenities and more of a main town centre in the Caribbean is just one of the examples of the achievements of this little country, once ruled by Sweden and then made an autonomous region of Russia before its independence in 1917.
Another example of its technological accomplishment is the remarkable global market that Finland has achieved in telecommunications with Nokia mobile telephones, mistakenly believed by many to be a Japanese product.
The cruise ships built in Finland are powered by engines manufactured by Wartsila, another Finnish company that has made an impact on the Caribbean. The engines in one of the large cruise ships provide more power than is required in a country such as St Lucia.
Of course, Wartsila is now the supplier to power companies of many Caribbean countries. It has developed the technological capacity to track by computers the performance of its engines wherever they are. Thus, from its headquarters in Finland, for instance, technicians can monitor impending problems and provide solutions. The company can do the same for the engines on board ships.
Wartsila will be doing this job for Oasis of the Seas which will be the largest cruise ship in the world when the builder, StxEurope, hands it over to Royal Caribbean International in October.
Many Caribbean ports will not see this ship or its sister, Allure of the Seas, even though Oasis starts sailing in December. They simply will not have the port facilities to accommodate them. Oasis will call at St Thomas (US Virgin Islands), St Maarten, and the Bahamas on its Eastern Caribbean cruise and at Haiti and Jamaica on its Western Caribbean cruise up to April 2010.
Barbados and Eastern Caribbean countries, such as Antigua and Barbuda, St Kitts-Nevis, Dominica, Grenada and St Lucia will have to calculate whether or not it is worth the expense of trying to attract these two giant vessels to their ports.
I went to see the Oasis and the Allure under construction in Turku, a City on Finland’s Baltic Sea coast. Even in Europe with its modern high rise buildings, both ships dominated the landscape, dwarfing everything around it.
The Oasis was a hive of activity. The work on this 225,000 ton ship involved thousands of people and the organisation of it would require the logistical expertise of a city municipality. It has taken 20 months to bring the ship from ground zero to the towering edifice it now is. It has to be delivered in 40 working days, and no one has any doubt that it will be.
But this is no ordinary ship. In truth, there is nothing else like it. It will carry 6,000 passengers and 2,160 crew, and unlike any other cruise ship, it will have a “Central Park”- a fully open air area in the centre of the ship giving inside Cabins both sunlight and a view. It is in fact a small town centre with restaurants, shops, bars, and three themed garden spaces.
One of the great engineering and technological accomplishments of the Finnish designers and engineers is a Bar that rises from the ground up to three levels levitated by jet-streams of water. But so too are basketball courts where Finnish research and development has overcome the problem of bouncing balls reverberating through the floor.
A huge open air Boardwalk with a real Carousel for kids, two rock climbing walls, a beach with real sand, ice cream parlor and shops, is at the other end of the ship. Another engineering and technological feat was stabilising the Carousel so that it would not be affected by the movement of the sea.
StxEurope promote their work on the Oasis as “Creating the Incredible” – and they are right. The ship defies imagination. 1,181 feet long (361 m), 236 feet high (72 m) with 15 passenger decks and 2,700 cabins plus the amenities I have described here and even more besides, this ship has to be seen to be believed. The same is true of its sister, Allure.
The problems that the Caribbean Community and Common Market (CARICOM) countries face with these two huge ships are two in number.
First, apart from Jamaica, Haiti and the Bahamas which have port facilities to handle these ships, several of the others will have to build capacity to accommodate them; a cost-benefit analysis should be undertaken to advise a decision. The logistics of disembarking 6,000 passengers and getting them back on board in a six hour period will be trying indeed.
Second, these ships are destinations in themselves; they have more entertainment amenities including theatres, shopping, restaurants, bars, health spas, swimming pools, sports facilities than many Caribbean towns. They are also a safe and secure environment. In this sense, the ships themselves are direct competition for the Caribbean destinations at which they will call.
Why then should passengers come off these ships to visit Caribbean islands? That is the challenge that this new generation of cruise ships provide for tourism planners and policy makers in the region. Tourism officials have to devise new strategies and some major attraction to lure the larger number of passengers on these megaships. If not, Caribbean countries will become marginal to the cruise ship business, providing little more benefit than they now do.

If you want to go on a cruise and travel in luxury, then the new mega ships as they have become known offer a whole host of activities to keep you amused for the whole time on board. As the cruise liners look to differentiate themselves from competitors, they are bringing in new, fun things to do on board. The latest additions for the 2009 mega ships include rock climbing, ice skating and surfing simulators. There will be another host of ships taking to the seas in 2010, how will they improve on existing cruise ships?

The new ship from NCL is Epic which will make its maiden voyage in June. The ship boasts 128 budget cabins which are around 100 square feet, there will be quad rooms for families and for the upper class cruiser there will be courtyard villas at the back of Epic! Once you have enjoyed the many activities on board you can head for an even meal where you will be spoilt for choice in the 12 restaurants. Epic is set to cross the Caribbean and travel from Europe to New York.

Queen Victoria’s sister, Queen Elizabeth is going to be available to book from October. The main features include a large dance floor, an upgraded interior and a huge library.

Another cruise ship to look out for is the Sea Cloud Hussar. This is a three-mast tall ship which will feature the best facilities and services available they claim and is aimed at a more pure sailing experience. It’s due to launch in the final quarter of the year.

If you want to experience cruising in one of these new mega cruise ships then hopefully these mini cruise reviews of the 2010 ships will give you some ideas.
